Context
Created in 1993 in Lyon, Euronews is the most viewed news channel in Europe. Thanks to its 400 journalists from more than 30 nationalities, the channel is available 24h/24 in 13 different editions (German, English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian) and accessible in 400 million homes.
As a part of its development, the channel's headquarters are moving into new premices located in the district of Confluence.
Mission
Euronews's technical board has entrusted d²X Expertise with the handling of the IT component of the relocation. This mission is broad and includes :
- the definition of project stages, the establishment of the organisation, of related processes and reporting tools,
- the progress monitoring and the consolidation of sub-projects,
- the Business animation : preparation of the commitees, risk management and alerts.
Issues & Goals
"Continuous broadcasting is the priority"
The relocation is subject to a single constraint : no interruption of the IT is conceivable.
The agreed solution is to rebuild to a minimum on the distant site a new IT config and run both the previous and the new site in parallel, during the team's relocation stage.
Benefits
The transfer of activity will be carried out on time, thanks to :
- a transverse organisation between the entities, which allows to distribute load and responsibilities, to anticipate drifts and bottlenecks,
- a precise reporting on a weekly basis, then on a daily basis for the relocation stage,
