NewITNew IT is an infrastructure transformation program, international and transverse to the whole of Veolia's divisions, with the aim of designing and implementing a standardised, flexible, efficient and secured IT infrastructure...

Mission

The "New IT Construction" department is responsible for the project engineering and management. It is composed of :

  • Domain Data Centre (Data Centre Hosting and Production Outsourcing),
  • Network (WAN),
  • User Support (Help desk and office support, ITSM tooling).

The mission entrusted to d²X Expertise is to steer the transition on the aspects Governance, implementation of ITIL processes, transfer of activities to the "recurring".

Issues & Goals

The main issues related to this transformation program :

  • Optimization of infrastructure costs,
  • Effectively support the deployment of Group and divisional applications,
  • Enable information sharing and interoperability within the Group,
  • Consolidate and mutualize the Group's IT resources.

The accompaniment to change is the primary stake of this project.

Bénéfices

 

  1. Start of the pilot site for the new infrastructure architecture on time, by 1 April 2013.
  2. Implementation of governance and procedures between the outsourcer and the VEOLIA’ new Build and Run structures, guaranteeing an efficient transition.
  3. Achievement of objectives to reduce operating costs: -30M € / year.
