New d²X offer: Hybridization

The transformation of organizations and the digitalization of the economy are impacting our vision of project management and our project practices.

Waterfall & Agile : synergy

Historically, two worlds that ignored each other: the waterfall method and its predictive approach - notably with the PMI® PMBOK Guide® - and the the Agile Manifesto and its empirical approach.

Today, we are overcoming this dualism by implementing the complementarity and association of these two approaches, which are not antagonistic. From upstream, in portfolio management, downstream in the execution of a program or project. We need to answer this question: should a project be managed in Waterfall, in Agile, or combine the two?

Agility has enabled us to break out of a rigid and bureaucratic vision, of the traditional customer-supplier relationships and the difficulty of continuously integrating change; but Agile methods alone do not meet the demands of the moment.

Are transformations - digital and organizational models, feasible only on the basis of an empirical and adaptive approach?  For example, securing commitments and cyber-security require a solid architecture and global risk management. What are strategy and operational excellence to create value based on?

Understanding and mastering the hybridization of waterfall and agile modes, and their synergy, is the challenge today. Converging these two approaches to transform and succeed; combining and adapting our ways of working by « connecting » predictive and iterative.

d²X Offer: Hybridization

The hybridization of project management cultures, methods and practices makes it possible to meet this challenge.
